As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, ‘Have mercy on us, Son of David!’ when he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them. ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ ‘Yes Lord,’ they replied. The he touched their eyes and said, ‘According to your faith will it be done to you’, and their sight was restored.
Their story is to give us an insight into what it is like to suffer from spiritual blindness. They epitomise what it is like to traverse an ocean at half mast. You are like one who has heard the word of God, but has not fully understood the power contained within it. Unlocking the truth and gaining access to the light within enables us to traverse oceans at full mast. It allows us to make full efficient use of our resources. You become like a lamp on full power, unable to keep from freely sharing your light with others.
