Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law – a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.
Matthew 10:34-36
When we awake the spirit it creates its own borders, boundaries and families. The spirit is not subject to any law of this world. It cannot be contained. It dismantles the natural order of biological ties and imposes a new spiritual order.
That is why it is written that:
Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy or me.
Matthew 10:37-38
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Matthew 10:39
You’ll find your life by becoming aware of the spirit and acknowledging the truth that Jesus preached of, but take note that when you find out the truth and choose life in the light you die to the rash impulses of the body and live according to the will of the spirit.
As your spirit develops through the act of meditation your path will no longer be clouded by egotistical living – A life dominated by a search for fulfilment achieved through financial gain or social status. You’ll realise that the life path of the unaware is very different to the life path of the person who is fully aware of their spiritual realm. The person who lives in spiritual awareness knows our life system is fraught with imperfection. Their experience of imperfection propels them to seek an alternative wisdom and an alternative means of achieving inner peace and strength. They tune themselves in to the resonance of an alternative master: a master of peace, goodness, righteousness, future hope and glory.
There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.
Matthew 10:27
Live the truth, the truth that bubbles in your heart and over flows its cup. When the spirit takes hold within us there is no power on this earth, no authority, no degree of intellect that can stand up against it. It bears witness to itself and needs no one to testify on its behalf, for it proclaims its own truth.
‘And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little one because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.’
Matthew 10:42
As newly born spirits, born into the light, woken up to the truth we are Jesus’s little ones and were all purchased by someone else’s example of living fully in the truth. Jesus has shown us the door to spiritual freedom, he has given us the gardening tools for cultivating our spirits, and bringing forth fruit of our choosing.
