Meditation 2b - What is the Truth?
The truth is that :-
We are love.
We are part of God.
We are never separate from God, never alone and never forsaken.
We are God breathed and we belong to the father.
When we are born into flesh we forget who we are. We are deceived by the mind and the body. We believe that not all things are possible. Our journey through life is to make us remember who we are. Sooner or later through our journey we will realise that all solutions lie within ourselves and not on the outside. Think of it as you will: war being waged against us on a spiritual level or on a physical level. The evidence is all around us pointing us in the right direction. There are routes that harm us and routes that bring us nothing but harmony, healing and peace. Through our deluded perception that mind, body and spirit are separate or that the spirit does not exist we are unable to see ourselves in our true completeness. It is only in our complete state when we allow body, mind and soul to operate in their rightful roles that we can achieve our highest state of being. Through the experience of unfulfilling relationships, disabilities, depression, drugs, violence, racism, lack of achievement, suffering and poverty; afflictions brought about through varying states of unconscious living we lose sight of who we are. We become lost in a vicious circle of perpetrator of pain and victim of pain. It is only in a state of higher consciousness that we are able to break the cycle. It is inevitable that eventually all of us are brought to this moment of realisation of truth and awakening. It is a truth that is freely given.
‘Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened.’
Matthew 7:7
Once you are conscious of the spirit, once it is awoken from its slumber, what will you do with this gift of discernment? Will you nurture it for selfish means or for the greater good of others? Will your truth shine like a lamp guiding the footsteps of others or will it be a shadow cast upon their path so that they stumble?
